This page is about 2 gites that are for rent in the village of Fontevraud L'Abbaye.
These rentals both sleep 4, have fully fitted kitchens, lounges with dvd players and satellite tv in English. The cottages are within a stones throw of the 12th century Abbey of Fontevraud, the burial place of Richard the Lionheart, amongst others. Fontevraud itself, whilst being a small village, has shops including a chemist and post office and four or five restaurants.
Fontevraud lies halfway between Chinon and Saumur, both beautiful towns in the Loire Valley. The nearest city is Angers and slightly further away you can fly direct to Tours.
Fontevraud is ideally placed in the Loire Valley to visit all the attractions, the chateaux, the caves, the river etc.
